FAQS
WHO CAN TAKE PART IN THE THERAPY PROGRAMME?
Anyone (aged 18+) is welcome to join this therapy programme, whether you have a mental health problem or want to work on your wellbeing generally. On booking a place, Laura will have a brief conversation to check you'll be able to participate safely. You must be based in the UK to take part.
WHEN ARE THE INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS?
Every participant will have two individual therapy sessions (up to 50 minutes each) - one before the group sessions, and one after. The dates/times for these will be arranged individually for each person and will take place online, via Zoom.
DO I HAVE TO SPEAK IN THE GROUP SESSIONS?
You can speak as much or as little as you like during group sessions. Group therapy is a proven and effective form of counselling, where even just listening to others has a positive impact. However, many people find they benefit most when they share their experiences and join in with group conversations.
WHY SHOULD I JOIN IN THE PROGRAMME?
The therapy programme will help you improve your mental health, boost your mood and live more positively. It will also enable you to explore your worries/problems, improve relationships with others and consider the unconscious meanings of your thoughts and feelings.
WHAT ARE THE INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS FOR?
The first individual session will help you think about your mental health and what you'd like to get out of the therapy programme. The second session will allow you to reflect on what you've gained from the programme and consider whether any further support or therapy may be needed.
WHO IS LEADING THE PROGRAMME?
All sessions will be led by experienced psychotherapist, group facilitator and happiness facilitator, Laura Duester. Find out more about Laura here.
